Vicki Joanne Wallace

Vicki Joanne Wallace, 70 of Zeigler an angel on earth, now an angel in heaven, went to be with her Lord and Saviour at 5:22 a.m., Saturday, March7, 2026 at Herrin Hospital.

Vicki was born June 3, 1955, in Prescott, AZ to Milton and Betty (Miller) Simpson. She married the love of her life, David Wallace, on June 16, 1979, in Ranch Country, AZ. They shared 46 wonderful years together.

Vicki has been a homemaker for several years. Vicki also helped her husband for many years managing Dairy Queen in Texas. She was a graduate of West High School in Phoenix, AZ. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church in West Frankfort.

Vicki loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to spend time on her porch looking at her flowers. She always found the good in people and never said a bad word about anyone.

Vicki is survived by her husband, David Wallace of Zeigler, her wonderful loving children, Rachel (John Flora) Lane of Zeigler, Thad (Cheryl) Bailey of Sesser; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deanna (Ken) McKinney of Chino Valley, AZ and Lisa (Rick) Kyle of Cottonwood, AZ.; sister-in-law, Brenda (Sterling) Daley of Portola, CA; brother-in-law, Brian Wallace of Florence, AZ. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, sister, Cindy Simpson; in-laws, Melvin and Joyce Wallace and brother-in-law, Bradley Wallace.

Celebration of life service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Vantrease-Pyle Funeral Home in Zeigler with Pastor Doyle Mills officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvery Bible Church. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
