Vickie Lynn Absher Miller passed away peacefully in Raleigh NC on August 9, 2023, following a short battle with cancer. She was born November 22, 1956, to Virginia Sue Wyatt Absher and Thomas Walter Absher. Born an Army brat in Fort Campbell Kentucky, she relocated often in her early years. Vickie attended Gardner Webb University, Appalachian State University and Wilkes Community College. Her passionate love of family and friends, painting and reading continued until her death. After living most of her life in Wilkes County, Vickie had relocated to Raleigh for the past few years as her health declined.
Vickie is survived by her husband George William Miller, daughters Elizabeth Danielle Miller and Meagan Jean Miller Bolick. She is also survived by her grandchildren Zoë Spencer, Kaden Miller, Landyn Lamm, Lilly Bolick, Hope Robinson, and great granddaughter Amiya Spencer. Vickie is also survived by her sister LuAnn Absher Lamm, brother-in-law Michael Lamm and sister-in-law Debbie Absher. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Walter Absher and daughter Rachael Nicole Miller.
