Vickie Kay Holt Biggs, 69 of White House, Tn. passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. Biggs was born on June 19, 1955 in Nashville, Tn. to the late William Wallace Holt and Dora Camplin Holt. She spent her first 22 years of her life at 149 Eagan Circle, Madison, Tn. She always looked forward to family and friends coming to visit. Her favorite activities were scouting, riding her bike and sledding in the winter and going to the races with her dad where they would meet one of her nephews, Joe, and his father, Billy. These were always exciting times. Her higher education began at Volunteer State Community College and George Peabody Teachers College. She taught school for thirty years, teaching elementary, special education, and even director of adult education. Vickie married Tommy Biggs on July 25, 1998. She continued her education, receiving her Masters of Vision degree at Middle Tennessee State University and Orientation and Mobility degree at University of Louisville in Kentucky. Her last thirteen years teaching were spent teaching the visually impaired and orientation and mobility. She retired from teaching in 2013, but contracted work with the county for two more years. Her retirement was short, so she treasured each day. During her retirement she started showing her 1973 Barracuda, a car that was very special to her because it was a high school graduation gift from her parents. Her husband, Tommy Biggs, restored the car back to its original condition, and she eagerly began to show it at local cruise-ins where she won several trophies. Vickie always had the love of God in her heart and spirit. When the Christmas holidays were approaching she commented that she wanted to keep the love and spirit of the holiday in her heart every day. She was a person who loved people and loved life, and people loved her right back. She is survived by her husband, James Thomas(Tommy) Biggs of White House, her sisters, Margaret Harris of Hendersonville, Frances Bruce of Nashville and Margie Mannon of Gallatin, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Biggs will be on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill McRey officiating, with visitation on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. funeral time. Following the funeral service, interment will be in White House Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Camplin, Luke Camplin, Pat Harris, Joe Fisher, Harry Engligh and Rick Mannon. In leau of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to Leiomyosarcoma Support and Direct Research Foundation. https://www.lmsdr.org/
