Vickie Darlene Gibbs passed away on September 7, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior. Born in Clinton, South Carolina, she spent most of her childhood on the Mill Hill in Newry, South Carolina. For the first half of her working career, she performed quality control at various plants in Seneca, including Jacob's Chuck Manufacturing, Jantzen, and Dynacast.
She worked for Clemson University for the second half of her working career, starting in the facilities department and ending in the library.
She is preceded in death by two unborn children, her father Thomas McCarson, her mother Ina Lee McCarson, and her brother Tommy McCarson. She is survived by her two sisters, Ann McCarson and Carolyn Duckworth, her son Brian P. Gibbs, his wife Lori Gibbs, and his three children, Isaiah, Ezra, and Sarah.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Brown Funerals, 101 East North Second Street, Seneca.
The family will receive friends before the service from 3-4:00 PM here at the funeral home.
Vickie was a tenderhearted person who loved her friends and family and was especially proud of her grandkids. She will be missed.
