Vickie was born on July 6, 1952, in Council Bluffs, Iowa where she was raised by her grandparent, Nels & Zella Hansen. She graduated from TJ High School, class of 1971. Vickie married the love of her life, Bruce Tallman on July 6, 1979 and together they shared 46 years of adventures.
Vickie had house pride and truly enjoyed raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. As one would imagine, having such a large family she did a lot of cooking, of which she made many good meals. Vickie never had an empty house, when her children moved out, she filled it with grandchildren. Between babysitting, errands and school events her life was filled with her grandchildren, she simply lived and breathed them. Vickie enjoyed the comforts of home from her porch running her own surveillance on the neighborhood. She and Bruce truly looked forward to the summer months where they camped at Linwood Beach & Marina Campground. In later years Vickie watched her favorite show, The Golden Girls and colored.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Tallman; 5 children, Dawn (Jimmy) Brown, Patrick Colpitts, Staci Huddleston, Ryan Tallman and Victoria Colpitts; 13 adoring grandchildren, Trey, Allonnah, Dylan, Tay, Ariellah, Donavin, Skylar, Sydney, Isaiah, Justin, Ally, Ian and Dwayne; 1 great-granddaughter, Kylee. Vickie is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Colpitts; great-grandson, TJ and her in-laws, William (Shirley) Burton.
