Vicky Sue Haynes, 66, of Norwalk, IA, formerly of Dallas Center, IA, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab.
Vicky was born on April 2, 1959, in Storm Lake, IA, to Donald Howard and Mae D (Roach) Haynes. She was educated in Waukee and graduated from Waukee High School in 1977. Over the years, she worked at Valley View Care Center in West Des Moines, Hawkeye Insurance Company, and later at Wells Fargo, where she eventually retired.
In her free time, Vicky enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, celebrating the 4th of July, and she loved Mickey Mouse.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Haynes and one great-niece and one great-nephew.
Vicky is survived by her siblings: Donald (Jody) Haynes of Ankeny Bill (Ella) Haynes of Des Moines Ruth Bowans of Dallas Center and Rebecca (Scott) Carstensen of Ankeny. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Iles Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Waukee Cemetery in Waukee, IA.
