Vicky Marie (Wilson) Nuhfer, 65 was taken from this world unexpectedly on New Year's Day 2025.
Vicky was born in Toledo Ohio to Raymond and Carole (Persinger) Wilson on September 16,1959. A graduate of Woodward High School, Vicky worked in retail for many Toledo staples such as Bargain City, Rinks, Hills and for the last 28 years, Big Lots as a manager in the furniture department.
Vicky was an avid book reader owning hundreds of hardcover fiction murder mystery novels. In addition to books, Vicky was an animal enthusiast who loved Polar Bears and for 17 years was a devoted cat mom to a feline named Norman.
Vicky's primary passion was being a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Vicky was a proud resident of Maumee, where she lived near many of her devoted friends. When a fire took her home, Vicky opted for a much smaller residence to stay close to her beloved Maumee community.
Vicky is survived in death by her mother, Carole; son, Daniel; brother-in-law, Dale Joseph; brothers, Michael and Dale; as well as several nieces and nephews. Vicky is preceded in death by her father, Raymond, and her sister, Beverly.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Vicky's name may be directed to the Toledo Zoo.
Vicky's family and friends will always remember her for her kindness, her unwavering generosity, and the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her. Vicky will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
