Michelle Woda Obituary

Michelle Lynn Woda

Michelle Lynn Woda, 56, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2025. Born on April 7, 1969, in Toledo, Michelle was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her beloved children, Seneca Weirich, Joel Weirich, and Laken (Edward) Arthur, who were the center of her world. She was a proud and loving "Boof" to her cherished grandchildren, Knox Arthur, Dashiell Harden, Elon Harden, and Indi Arthur.

Michelle is also survived by her parents, Judy and Michael Burzynski; her siblings, Amy (Darrell) Woda-Carney, Steven Woda, Michael (Rochelle) Burzynski, and Timothy (Julie) Burzynski; her nieces and nephew, Helios Carney, Hannah Woda, Rayna Carney, and Samantha Woda; and three great-nieces, Ailani, Amelia and Holly. She also leaves behind her trusted business partner and dear friend, Tom Sallah.

Above all else, Michelle was a devoted mother and "Boof" - a proud and loving grandmother. Her family was the heart of her life, and she worked tirelessly to ensure her children and grandchildren were surrounded by love and had everything they ever needed. Professionally, she spent ten years in the trucking industry, where she fought - and won - a lawsuit to ensure equal pay for women in the workplace. Her courage and determination paved the way for fairness and equity, not only for herself but for others who came after her. Later, she pursued her entrepreneurial spirit and operated her own small business, continuing to lead with integrity and resilience. Michelle served on the board of Chapter V, where she made it her mission to ensure the organization supported a wide range of charitable causes through meaningful and impactful donations. Michelle was known for her quiet generosity - always giving without seeking recognition, and always putting others before herself.

Michelle had a deep love for art, history, her catholic faith, polish heritage and all things British.

Michelle embodied the spirit of a warrior poet - a soul who could weather life's storms with courage and still find words, laughter, and love to share with others. She leaves behind a legacy not only of strength, but of wisdom, compassion, and beauty.
