Kris Edward Nuhfer, 68 of Bowling Green, OH passed away at home on Sunday, September 7, 2025. He was born on August 24, 1957 in Columbus, OH to James and Lucille (Miller) Nuhfer. Kris married Laura Jean McNamara on December 3, 1977 in Woodville, OH. Kris and Laura raised two children and have celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage together.

Kris, worked as a Community Correction Specialist for the Ohio Department of Correction performing audits within his prescribed region. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Laura. Among their many destinations they included wintering in Florida, and spending time each year in Colorado. Always very active Kris, enjoyed the beach life, kayaking, camping, playing pickle ball, running, was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team, and remained active in his children's sports and other events as they were growing up. Nevertheless, his greatest joy was spending time with his little family especially, his wife Laura and his son and daughter.

In addition to his wife Laura, left to cherish his memory are his children: Krista Nuhfer of Dublin OH., and Erik Nuhfer of Bowling Green. Mother; Lucille Nuhfer of Kenton, OH., sisters: Kim (Pat) Thomas of Kenton, OH., Jan (Steve) Bertonaschi of Westerville, OH., nephew; Ben of Kenton, OH., and brother and sister in-law; Dan and Terri McNamara of Bowling Green, OH. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 13, 2025 in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. Officiating will be Pastor Timothy Philabaum. The family requests that casual attire be worn by guests. Ware your favorite Polo shirt and Khaki pants. Following the service the family will host a celebration of life gathering at Trail Marker Park in Woodville.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to: A charity of the donor's choice.
