Walter Potts

Walter J. Potts, 82, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away, Monday, September 8, 2025. Walter was born on March 8, 1943, and was the son of Walter B. and Ruth S. (Fleitz) Potts. A 1961 graduate from Woodward High School, he then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Marilyn Mills on March 16, 1968. Walter was employed as a machine repairman for GM Powertrain for 38 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the U.A.W., Local 14, and the American Legion, Conn-Weissenberger Post 587. Walter enjoyed collecting sports cards, bowling, fishing, and golfing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn; children, Paul (Candance Seger) Potts, Jeffery (Lisa) Potts, Lisa (James Bair) Potts, Sarah (Ronald) Angelotti, and Rebecca (Matthew Wilmoth) Potts; brother, John Potts; brother-in-law, Joel (Brenda Evers) Mills; grandchildren, Brittany, Madison, Brianna, Austin, Sophia, Danielle, Alexander, Nicholas, Brandon, and 15 great grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and James Potts
