Vicky Coleen Sutton, 58, of Inola, Oklahoma, formerly of Colcord, Oklahoma, passed away February 6, 2025, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vicky was born July 18, 1966, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Eldon Leon McCombs and Janice Coleen Sloan. Vicky is survived by her husband of nearly two decades, Wesley Gordon Sutton, whom she married on October 8, 2008, in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Together, they raised two children, filling their lives with love, joy, and unforgettable memories. A devoted Southern Baptist, Vicky's faith was an integral part of her life. She had an unmatched love for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing; skills that many admired, often putting grown men to shame with her expertise. Vicky's passion for nature and the outdoors was only rivaled by her deep sense of family and community. For 15 years, Vicky served as the City Clerk for Catoosa, Oklahoma, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. She also spent 13 years as a Scout leader, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those she mentored. Vicky will be deeply missed by all who knew her, remembered for her warm heart, strength, and the joy she brought to those around her. May her memory be a blessing. She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Leon McCombs; her brother, Jesse McCombs.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley Gordon Sutton of Inola, Oklahoma; her daughter, Dillon Elizabeth Sutton of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her son, Blaine Marcus Vause of Charleston, South Carolina; her sister, Pamela Reid and boyfriend, Ron Williams of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; her mother, Janice Sloan of Peggs, Oklahoma.
An initial funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Catoosa First Church located at 300 South Cherokee Street, Catoosa, Oklahoma, 74015. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
