Victor Diaz

Victor M. Diaz, a gifted craftsman, devoted husband, and loving father, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Lacey, Washington, at the age of 77.

He was born on February 13, 1948, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Victor and Amparo Diaz.

Victor made his home in Lacey for the past 18 years and previously lived in El Centro, California; Mexicali, Baja California; and Mexico City. A master bench jeweler by trade, he dedicated his life to the art of jewelry making, working for Panowicz Jewelers.

His work was more than a profession it was his passion. Victor was known as an exceptionally ingenious, creative, and artistic soul who took great pride in his craft and poured his heart into every piece he created.

He was married to his beloved wife, Hermila Diaz, for 48 years, sharing a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. Above all else, Victor cherished his family and found his greatest joy in their presence.

Victor is survived by his wife, Hermila Diaz; his children, Victor Diaz Jr., Fatima Al-Kinani, and Alejandra Heredia; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Alfredo Diaz; his sisters, Yolanda Diaz and Marcela Diaz; and his parents Victor and Amparo Diaz.

A funeral service will be held on February 20, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lacey, Washington.

Victor will be remembered for his artistry, his devotion to his loved ones, and the lasting beauty he created with his hands and heart.
