Victor L. Santos "Guiso", age 74 and a long time resident of South Chicago, passed away quietly on Thursday, May 4, 2023. He will be fondly remembered as a beloved husband to Maria Z. Santos.
Victor was born on May 14, 1948 in Villalba, Puerto Rico. He was the loving brother of Lydia, Johnny, Alma, Antonio, Pedro Juan, Jorge, Evelyn "Evin", Mayra, and Lucy. Although Victor never had his own children, he cherished his many God children, nieces and nephews and was a dear uncle and great-uncle to them.
Victor was a man with an unbreakable spirit who loved life to the fullest. He treasured the simple things in life such as spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile that lit up any room he entered. His kind heart and gentle soul made him loved by all who knew him.
Victor may have left this world behind but he will never leave our hearts. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him well.
Rest in peace dear Victor knowing that you were loved by many and that you had a profound impact on their lives. Our thoughts are with your surviving wife, siblings, family and friends during this difficult time of loss. May Victor's soul rest in eternal peace with his parents John and Juana Santos; and brothers Jose Miguel and Angel Luis "Yeyo" who preceded him in death.
We love you Victor L. Santos - always and forever in our hearts.
