COLERAIN, NC - Victoria Jean Huckabee Phelps, affectionately known to her family and friends as Vicki, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, in Colerain, North Carolina, at the age of 68. Vicki was born on November 3, 1956, in Grand Haven, Michigan, and during her lifetime, she touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Vicki spent her entire career in management, a journey that spanned from the food industry to the parts industry. Through her professional life, she demonstrated a steadfast dedication and work ethic that inspired many she worked alongside.
A true lover of life, Vicki's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She migrated from the North and embraced southern cooking with enthusiasm and skill. Her culinary talents delighted those she loved, and her meals were truly a testament to her spirit of warmth and hospitality.
Baseball held a special place in Vicki's heart. She was an ardent supporter of both the Chicago Cubs and the Atlanta Braves. A dedicated NASCAR fan, Vicki enjoyed the thrill of the race, cheering for her favorite drivers with vivacity.
The beauty of nature was a source of endless joy for Vicki, particularly in her own garden, where she lovingly tended to her flowers, especially her cherished rose bushes.
Above all, Vicki was a family-oriented woman, whose love and generosity knew no bounds. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "MeMe," she treasured every moment spent with them and held each one deeply in her heart.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her surviving family: her devoted husband, W. Keith Phelps; her sons, Tony Huckabee and wife Alessia of Aulander, Tommy Huckabee and fiancée Jo Ellen of Aulander,, and Robbie Phelps and wife Wendy of Lewisburg, KY.
