Victoria Kaplan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Duffy-Poule Funeral & Cremation Services - Attleboro on Dec. 16, 2025.
Victoria C. Kaplan, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on December 12, 2025 at her home in North Attleborough, MA.

Victoria was born on November 7, 1943, in Quito, Ecuador, and moved to the United States when she was a young child. She grew up in Roxbury and Dorchester and after her marriage, resided in West Roxbury. She has been a resident of North Attleborough, MA with her immediate family for the past 20 years. Victoria graduated from Hyde Park High School and later obtained her degree from Northeastern University. She made her mark in the world of court reporting, working as a highly skilled stenographer and notary also serving as an office manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 104.

Victoria was a woman of many interests. She enjoyed reading sexy romance novels, watching ghost shows, and was a firm fan of all things Star Trek. She loved her annual visits to Atlantis, her affinity for Betty Boop and Tinker Bell, and her fondness for Il Divo. Victoria was known for her occasional humorous flips of the bird, her love for Dairy Queen "DQ", and her adventurous spirit, which she expressed through her love for cruises.

Victoria is survived by her cherished daughter, Joy Beale of North Attleborough; her beloved grandchildren, Avary Beale, Remy Beale, and Beckett Beale all of North Attleborough; her spouse, Paul Kaplan of North Attleborough; son-in-law, William Beale of North Attleborough; sister, Joan Natale and niece Danielle Natale both of Falmouth; her second daughter of the heart, Springall Palermo of Boston and other loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was a loving and devoted mother, always putting her family first. What mattered most to Victoria was her family, specifically her relationship with Joy and her adored grandchildren.

Victoria was preceded in death by her father, William Imonti; her mother Violetta Imonti and her brother, Frank Valle. Her memories will be eternally cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 4-6:30 pm, at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. This will be followed by a memorial service at the same location at 6:30 pm.

When I was a young girl (and then a teenager) Vickie helped raise me. She was the neighbor across the street whose door was always open to me. And then one day she had her daughter, Joy, the love of her life. She LIVED for that child. (All too familiar was her behavior as my mother and I were an only mother/daughter pair, too.) Later, I was so excited to babysit Joy who was the most beautiful baby on the planet.

Twenty-five years went by and my mother died unexpectedly from a massive heart attack and at a young age. My own daughters were too young to help me navigate the memories and the grief. But all those years later, Vicky came to see me with her usual calm and kind outlook; she took the time to comfort me with wonderful memories of my mother.

Now I am so sad to learn of Vickie's passing. I know it's a different situation as she was older and ill for a while, but I suspect she maintained her keen sense of wit until the end. Vickie was the most incredible woman, advisor, listener - a demeanor generated from her old country (she was very exotic and beautiful). Along with her sister Joan and her sister-in-law Brenda, she influenced so much of what I would become as a woman.

I can just now imagine a happier place called heaven, where Vickie's twinkling eyes and warm smile grace every cloud, every orbit and every soul that enters that kingdom. God speed my darling Victoria Kaplan. I cry as I write this. Until we meet again.
