Jane Larkin

Jane Barrett Larkin of Attleboro passed away surrounded by her family on December 28, 2025 following a brief but devastating illness.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, Victor Larkin. Together they raised a beautiful family, traveled the world and spent many years enjoying the beach, golf and family vacations at the Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster on Cape Cod.

She was the nurturing and loving mother of Peter Larkin and his wife Tracy (Douglas, MA), Michael and Dawn Larkin (Attleboro, MA), Suzanne and Robert Westwater (Attleboro, MA) and Edward and Alicia Larkin (Sudbury, MA).

She adored her thirteen grandchildren: Zachary, Keagin, Benjamin, Samuel, Erica, Cecelia Jane, Nicholas, Emelia, Victoria, Jacob, Carina, Connor and Sophia. She especially enjoyed cheering them on at their sporting events, taking pictures at their activities, and celebrating their accomplishments. She mostly cherished family holiday gatherings and baby-sitting duties.

She is survived by her brother William Barrett, his late wife Cindy (Dennis, MA) and sister Susan Butler and her husband Richard (Arlington, MA).

Jane was a graduate of University of Rhode Island and an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She spent her career as an Outpatient Dietitian at Sturdy Hospital. She was a community leader as a 20 year member of the Attleboro School Committee serving two years as Chairperson. She was the first female to serve on the city Recreation Board. She also volunteered as an election official for many years.

She was a great cook, an avid reader, gardener and enjoyed sewing and making quilts. Nothing made her happier than having her kitchen filled with family.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 8:30-10:30 AM. A mass will be held in her honor at St. John's church, located adjacent to Duffy-Poule at 11:00 AM followed by an interment at St. John's Cemetery.
