Victoria Lynn (Cooper) Rhodes, 64, of New Alexandria, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 17, 2025. She was born on July 4, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lawrence "Bud" Cooper and Ernestine "Teena" (Kee) Cooper.
Victoria was a woman of beauty, grace, compassion, and unwavering strength. She dedicated many years of her life to helping others through her work as a massage therapist, a profession in which she touched countless lives with her healing hands and caring heart. Prior to her massage career, she attended Upper St. Clair High School then went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania-reflecting her deep desire to understand and support others. She served at Allegheny East in Wilkinsburg as the Director of Residential Services, where she compassionately supported adults with intellectual disabilities and was known for her unwavering commitment to their care and dignity.
Victoria is survived by her devoted husband of 10 years, Randy Ray Rhodes, who was the love of her life and constant companion. She is also survived by her sons, Dylan Cassidy (Amanda Livengood) and their children Addison, Alina, Avayah, and Bayley; and Shannon Cassidy (Megan) and their children Hanna (Ivy) Brensinger, Luca, and Sloan. She is further survived by her brothers, Mike Cooper, Tom Cooper (Tresa), George Cooper; her sister, Amy Jo; and her step-children, Matthew Rhodes (Chelsea) and their children Rae Lynn, Connor, and Noah. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Victoria's life was defined by sincere love, kindness, family, and faith. Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature touched everyone who knew her. She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in being an inspiration in their lives. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her caring spirit, her strong BIG hugs, and her ability to make every person feel valued and loved.
Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at P. David Newhouse Funeral Home, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670.
A celebration of life will follow in the funeral home at 2:00pm, where stories of Victoria's life and legacy will be shared.
