Vijay Gainedy

Vijay Gainedy, 44, of Somersworth, NH passed away on unexpectedly on December 7, 2025 at Exeter Hospital.

Vijay grew up in Arlington, MA and he graduated from Arlington High School. He was the assistant manager at Pep Boys Auto Service in Portsmouth prior to his illness. A former tow truck driver, Vijay had a deep passion for automobiles of all kinds and a special love for tow trucks. Above all, he was a devoted father. His daughter Madison was his world, his "mini me", the light of his life. Whether they were sharing laughs and dinner at Chili's, cruising on long drives, or just spending quiet time together, every moment with her was precious. He cherished simple joys: trips to the Big E, going to Hampton Beach and Old Orchard Beach, and making people smile with his Tik Tok videos. He was happiest surrounded by his family and friends.

Vijay will be deeply missed by his mother, Aruna Ganglani; his daughter, Madison Mitchell-Gainedy; his siblings, Srinivas Gainedy and Lakshmi Dave and her husband Amrish; his fiancé, Brandy; his former spouse, Doreen Mitchell; his niece Jasmine Dave and his nephew Jaisal Dave.

He was predeceased by his father, Ramarao Gainedy and his stepfather, Sunder Ganglani.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 14th from 12:00 -2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.
