Born on April 9, 1939 in Upleta, India, she was the daughter of Thakarshi and Viruben T. Makadia.
Vijya married Manilal D Kalaria and they shared 29 years together.
Vijya was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her life taking care of her loved ones and keeping tradition alive in her family.
She is survived by her sons, Bharat M Patel, Ajay M Patel and his wife Nayana A Patel.
her grandchildren, and great grand children.
Her services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Prayers will begin at 11:15am with visiting to conclude at 1 pm. A procession to Oxford Hills Crematory in Chester, NY will follow.
