Born and raised in Staten Island, he spent his life devoted to building and maintaining his home and family. He is survived by the love of his life, Dolores (nee. Venditti), his beloved daughter Brenda Meehan-LoBianco, Mike LoBianco, and his grandson Thomas James Meehan, who brought him endless joy and pride all his life. He was cherished dearly by his nieces and nephews, who are forever grateful for his words of wisdom and advice over the years.
He was stationed in the United States Army from 1950-1953 in Vienna, Austria. He worked for the New York Telephone Company as a foreman for 30 years. After his retirement, he spent his time gardening, golfing, and watching sports, especially his beloved New York Yankees, who he had an eternal passion for., occasionally earning him the nickname "Steinbrenner" from his daughter's friends. He also worked part time at the Richmond County Country Club for 15 years. His devotion to his home and family was nothing short of unconditional. His dedication to his home and his work are exemplary, and anyone who knew him can say they have received advice from him that they still carry out to this day, and his stories and catchphrases are endless, especially "Let me tell you something." He was a man of faith who showed nothing but love and respect to God and his Country.
He was a force of nature and one of a kind, who always did it his way. He will be deeply missed and loved by all and will never be forgotten.
His wake will be taking place at Hanley Funeral Home at 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY, 10306 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 19th.
His mass will be held at St. Ann's Church on December 20th at 9:45 AM
