Vincent J. Gadbois

Vincent John Gadbois (Vinnie) passed away peacefully on Thursday Feb. 1, 2024. He was 88 years old.
He was born to the late Homer and Ida (Gosselin) on October 28th 1935. Vinnie graduated from Uxbridge High School in 1953 and entered the Air Force.
After returning from Ramstein Air Base Frankfurt, Germany in 1957, he married the late Louise Albin. Vinnie's career with Massachusetts Electric in Hopedale, MA spanned nearly 40 years.
Vinnie is survived by his daughter Karen Fenstermacher of Lewisberry, PA and her husband Herb. He also leaves behind his dear cousin Alice St Andre and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was particularly fond of his niece Carol Albin with whom he shared his love of sports. Carol was his primary care giver for several years.
He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Louise; his brothers Frances, Robert and Earl and sisters Eleanor Rabitor, Alice Boisvert and Claire Mastrianni.
Despite declining health, Vinnie never lost his sharp wit, infectious laugh or love of Boston sports. He never missed an opportunity to root for the Red Sox and whoever the Yankees were playing.
"As I bid farewell to my father I am not saying goodbye instead I want to say thank you. Thank you, Dad, for your unwavering love, your endless patience, and invaluable lessons. Thank you for the time we were able to share, particularly these last many months. Your laughter will continue to echo in my heart. Rest in peace dear Dad." - Karen.
Visiting hours will be held Friday February 9, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St, Uxbridge. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Uxbridge.
