Annette M. (Alessi) Gadbois, 78, formerly of Canton, MA, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024.
Annette was born in Dorchester, MA on March 26, 1946, a daughter of the late Anthony Alessi and Antoinette (Candella) Caparella and Stephen Caparella. She graduated from Dorchester High School in 1964. Annette had an eye for design which led her to work for Jordan Marsh, creating beautiful window dressings. She also expressed her creativity through modeling and was an excellent vocalist, having a passion for music. Always a hard worker, Annette owned and operated her own cleaning business, which she proudly ran for over 40 years.
She is survived by her son James J. Gadbois, Jr., and his fiancé Maria Catamero, of NY; daughter, Michelle Auguste, and her fiancé, Douglas Nally, of Lunenburg; grandchildren, Sarah Leary, Roudy Auguste, Jr., and Luca "Lex" Roy-Gadbois; siblings, John Alessi and wife, Diane, of Walpole, Stephen Caparella and wife Lisa, of FL, Maryellen Alessi of FL, Carol Garneau and husband, Edward, of FL, Cheryl Hefflen of AZ, and Jeannie Papageorgiou and husband, Charlie, of Tewksbury; several nieces and nephews.
Annette was predeceased by her former husband, James J. Gadbois, of Plymouth in 2023.
Calling hours will be held in the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer on Friday, December 13, from 4-7 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14, in Saint Boniface Church, 817 Mass Ave., Lunenburg at 11:00 am.
