Vincenzo Agresta

Vincenzo (Vince) Agresta (July 16, 1946 – March 4, 2025) was born in Gasperina in the Italian region of Calabria to Domenico and Rosaria Agresta. As a young man, he served in the Italian Army, and he spoke five languages (Italian, English, Spanish, French, and German). In 1970, he came to the United States, and since then, he called Philadelphia home. Throughout his career as a concrete mason, he read blueprints with prowess and crafted cement works with skill. Charismatic and giving, he made friends everywhere he went. Blessed with an unmatched green thumb, he cultivated a garden lush with herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Within his home, he was known to make his own wine, sausage, capicola, and soppressata. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns, singing, and dancing the tarantella. He is survived by Marianna Agresta, his wife of 55 years, his children, Domenic, Rosaria, and Marianna, his siblings Francesco, Antonio, Giuseppe, and Anna Maria, his seven grandchildren, Domenica, Soleil, Layla, Maria, Sante, Victoria, and Rudy Jr. including many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. There will be a service to celebrate his life and memory on Saturday, March 29th at J. Nelson Rigby Funeral Home 1 West Baltimore Ave, Media, Pa. Visitation beginning at 11am with a service to follow beginning at 12pm.
