Vincenzo Ponzo, aged 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Italy, Vincenzo brought the warmth and spirit of his homeland with him when he emigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities.
Vincenzo found work in contracting, where his unmatched work ethic and determination earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. He was not just a builder of sidewalks in his home town, but a builder of dreams, providing a strong foundation for his family and community.
He was a man of courage and unwavering dedication, both in his professional life and at home. Despite the challenges of life, Vincenzo always found joy in the simple things, especially in music and dance. With a voice that could carry a tune and a heart that beat to the rhythm of traditional Italian songs, Vincenzo brought life to every gathering, his joy infectious, his love of culture enduring.
Vincenzo is survived by his wife of 69 years, Palmina, his two sons, Victor (Joanne) and John, who carry forward his legacy of hard work and integrity. He is also remembered fondly by his four grandchildren, Nicholas, Cierra, Michael, and Gabriela, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Vincenzo Ponzo will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and in the melodies of the songs he loved to sing. May his memory be a blessing.
