Viola Bernedette Hood

Viola Bernadette Hood, 58, of Little River-Academy, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1967, in Austin, Texas, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her family.
Viola was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family-especially her grandsons, Trevor Lee Hood and Tyler Wayne Meier. She loved animals, enjoyed playing games, and had a kind and gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her.She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Hood; her son, Michael Hood and his wife; her daughter, Kasandra Hood; her cherished grandsons, Trevor Lee Hood, Tyler Wayne Meier, and Nathan Lee Kilgore- Blakley; her sisters, Lacretia McGuire and husband Darrell and Mary Tompkins and husband Pete; and her brothers, Wesley Piper and wife Marlene and James Piper.
Viola will be remembered as an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A celebration of Viola's life will be planned at a future date for family and friends to gather and honor her memory.
