LaVerne Taylor passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023. Throughout her life, she showcased her talents in various art forms, particularly Diamond Art, ceramics, and embroidery. Above all she loved her family dearly and spending time with them was her most favorite pastime.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her loving parents, John F. Green Sr. and Iva Dell Malone Green, as well as her brothers, John F. Green Jr. and Chuck A. Green.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Joann Banks, Sandra Dunn (Steve), Robert Allen Taylor (Dale), Gary Lamar Taylor (Cindy), and Charles Edward Taylor (Sharon); sisters-in-law Audrey Green and Lynn Green. Laverne was also blessed with twelve adoring grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of other extended family members and dear friends.
To honor her life and embrace her memory, a visitation will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Wednesday, October 25th at the compassionate and caring Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 1 pm, led by Pastor Anthony Howard. Laverne's final resting place will be at Lee Cemetery.
