Virgie Mae Johnson (nee Marks), 91, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025. Virgie was born in Little Otter, WV and lived her life in Barberton, Ohio as a stay-at-home mom, raising her seven children. She loved doing home improvement projects and roping in anyone who would help. She also enjoyed baking, cooking and always looked forward to Sunday dinners with her big extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arville Johnson; sisters, Lucy Weese and Lummie Burns; brothers, Tom and Jim Marks; son, Roger Weese; son-in-law, Brad Isenhart; great-grandsons, Jonathon Isenhart and Dakota Weese and her parents, Ida (Rogers) and Charlie Marks. Virgie is survived by sons, Steve (Shirley) Weese, Jerry Weese, Larry (Stephanie) Johnson, Michael (Martha) Johnson, James (Terri) Johnson; daughter, Betty Isenhart; daughter-in-law Jean Weese; sister, Nora (Orville) Nicholas; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Services for Virgie will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Church Norton Campus, 3970 S. Cleveland Massillon Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
