Virgie Olivo, a beacon of love and passion, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on May 9, 1938, in Maddison, Wisconsin, she was a daughter to Fermina Garza Olivo and Refuigo Olivo, who both preceded her in death, along with her beloved husband, Valentino Brito, and cherished son, Valentino Britro.
Virgie's life was a tapestry of dedication to her family and the joys she found in the simple pleasures of life. She is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Donna Brito Flores; sons Ozzie Brito, Dennis Brito, Curits Brito, and Ronnie Joe Brito. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, nurturing, and strength.
An avid gardener, Virgie found solace and joy in the tranquility of her garden, with her hands tenderly caring for the flowers and plants that flourished under her watchful eye. Her passion for gardening was only matched by her love for animals, particularly cats, which she adored with all her heart. Her companionship with her feline friends was a testament to her loving nature, and the care she bestowed upon them was a reflection of her boundless compassion.
Virgie's life was characterized by her loving spirit, a trait that endeared her to all who knew her. She approached life with a passionate zeal, whether it was in her nurturing of her children, the tending to her garden, or the care she provided to her animal friends. Her warm smile and generous heart left an indelible mark on her community, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to many.
As we bid farewell to Virgie, we celebrate the rich, fulfilling life she led and the countless memories she leaves behind. Her unwavering love and passionate approach to life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Virgie's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all the lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.
Virgie Olivo's journey through life was a reflection of her core values: love and passion. These principles guided her as a mother, a friend, and a cherished member of her community. As we remember Virgie, we hold on to the beauty she cultivated in her garden, the love she shared with her family, and the compassion she extended to all living beings. Her spirit, like the gardens she so carefully nurtured, will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she loved
