Virgie L. Sharrett, age 72, of Gratis Township, passed away Sunday January 12, 2025, at home with loving family by her side. She was born in Campton, Kentucky, on June 15, 1952, daughter of the late Della (Hollon) and James Cockerham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Spencer, and a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Sharrett. She worked at the Germantown Christian School for many years; and attended Abundant Life Tabernacle, and more recently Community Harvest Church. Virgie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clyde Sharrett; her children, Michele (David) Henry, Scott (Jennifer) Sharrett, Eric (Bambi) Sharrett, and Matt (Jessica) Sharrett; 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Isaac (Alicia), Anna, Shelbee, Natalie (Nicholas), Eric Tyler, Zachariah, Liam, Landon, and Lucy Sharrett, and Adam & Abigail Henry; 5 great-grandchildren, Spencer, Weston, and Clyde Sharrett, and Emersyn & Sawyer Smith; her brother, James (Nancy) Cockerham; 5 sisters, Carrie Phillips, Brenda Gabbard, Joyce (Ray) Wilder, Barbara Caudill, and Debra Cockerham. A Visitation will be held 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, January 17th, with Pastor James A. Setser and Pastor Duane Harney officiating. The burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, Ohio.
