Virgil L. Williams, 94, of Livermore, passed away peacefully with his wife of 76 years, Marian, by his side in the Long Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

Virgil was born March 7, 1929 in Bradgate, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Larsen) Williams.  He was raised and educated in the Livermore area and graduated from Livermore High School.  Virgil was united in marriage to Marian J. Link on January 1, 1948 in Mason City.  In 1952, Virgil was drafted into the United States Army and served for two years in Korea.  Upon his discharge he returned home and he and Marian farmed for 50 years near Livermore.  Virgil enjoyed doing carpentry in the winter months.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church Humboldt and the Livermore American Legion.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Marian, his daughter-in-law Peggy Williams of Ames, his granddaughters Amanda (Justin) Thompson and Monica (Luke) Albertson, great-grandchildren; Ari & Eisley Thompson and Iylah & Adrah Albertson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sons David, Michael and Danny and his brother Richard.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9th at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior at the church on Saturday.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt.  The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.   www.masonlindhart.com
