Virginia Mildred Anderson, 93, of Brainerd, passed away on December 21, 2023. A celebration of Life will take place at 11 am on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minnesota. A visitation will take place one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Virginia was born to Leonard and Olive (Renish) Burgeson on February 3, 1930, in Barnesville, Minnesota. She was married to Lorain Anderson in 1951 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. After Lorain passed away in 1977, Virigina married Clayton Anderson in 1982. She worked for many years at the State Hospital in Brainerd, Minnesota. In her free time, Virginia enjoyed camping, card, and board games, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also was very involved with the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Onamia VFW Auxiliary. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Virginia is survived by her children Shirley Schroeml, Barb (Cal) Snow, Jim (Sue) Anderson, and Bob (Brenda) Anderson; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Lorain Anderson, Clayton Anderson; and her sisters Jeanette, Fern, and Ruth.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
