Virginia “Ginny” Bailey

Virginia (Ginny) was born in Waverly, NY, January 21, 1932. Daughter of Nina Dunbar and Mason Morey Virginia grew up in the Elmira area. She was married to her husband for 61 years, Daniel Sr. Daniel Bailey and Virginia had a wonderful son Daniel Jr. who passed away in 2010, her husband passed away in 2011. Virginia retired from Jamesway in 1987. Her family was everything to her, she loved working in her yard and having her grandson Bill and Cailin visiting her, she was always there for her family when needed. Virginia was a great grandma to Declan, Braeden, and Rowan, her grandson Bill and wife Cailin. She loved her nieces and nephews they were just a help and joy to her. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mason Morey Jr., John Morey, Florence Lagstrom, Violet DeGraw, Jane Forbes, Ruth Bailey, Marjorie Laird, Fred Morey and Robert Morey Sr.. She had wonderful neighbors who watched over her and were so helpful to her. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025, with a funeral service to follow at 3pm in Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main Street, Dryden. The burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to the American Heart Association in her memory. There will be a celebration of life following the funeral.
