Virginia K. "Ginnie" Betteridge ObituaryEAST LIVERPOOL – Virginia K. "Ginnie" Betteridge, 79, of East Liverpool, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at East Liverpool City Hospital with her family by her side.
Ginnie was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on September 4, 1946, a daughter of the late Harold E. and Erla V. (Williams) Reese. She was a graduate of Beaver Local High School class of 1964 then graduated from Ohio Valley Business College with an associate's degree. Ginnie worked as a bank teller at First National Bank and Bank One until her retirement in 1991. Virgina was a loving person and was known for her big heart. She enjoyed cooking, baking, socializing with family and friends and giving gifts. Ginnie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, whom she married December 7, 1966, David A. Betteridge; two daughters Nanci Bush and her husband Mike and Nicole Elick and her husband Mark and two grandsons Tanner Elick and Zane Elick.
Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Evangelist Rico Brown of Virginia Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service on Sunday 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ginnie's memory may be directed to Beaver Local Swim Boosters, ATTN: Stacy Williams, 46088 Bell School Road, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
