Radel Funeral & Cremation Services -DehliVirginia “Ginny” Mary Cassedy passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 89.
Born on September 11, 1936, Ginny was the beloved daughter of Victor and Gertrude Weiler. She was preceded in death by her parents, but leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth.
Ginny is survived by her five children and their spouses, Susan (Dick) Tiemeier, Carol (Gerry) Ward, Kelly (Michelle) Cassedy, Amy Cassedy, and Edwin (Jackie) Cassedy, ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her two brothers and their spouses Al (Mary Lou) and Dave (Cindy) Weiler, who held a special place in her heart.
Her unwavering faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life, offering strength, comfort, and purpose in all she did. Known for her infectious sense of humor, Ginny loved to laugh, indulge in ice cream, and never missed her daytime stories. She found joy in traveling, painting, and sharing stories with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.
A visitation will be held at Radel Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory Church at 11:00 am.
Ginny’s spirit, creativity, and laughter will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Ginny’s kindness touched everyone who knew her. She gave her love freely and made people feel safe, cared for, and deeply valued.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Ginny’s memory, honoring her lifelong compassion and love for children.
