Ruth Cassedy Obituary
Ruth Gail Cassedy, 69, of Griffiths Creek entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following an unexpected sudden illness.
Born March 8, 1956 in Clayton to the late Bradley and Helen Blevins and granddaughter of Charles and Bessie Blevins.
Ruth attended Gospel Lighthouse at Grassy Meadows. She was a former Certified Nursing Assistant who enjoyed gardening, flowers, music and playing bass guitar and piano.
She was preceded in death by three children, Jason Tincher, Amanda Tincher and Roni Leigh Sheppard.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Victor Cassedy; one daughter, Bettye Jeane Phillips; seven grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Braxtyan, Lilly, Danielle, Amber and Jason; four great grandchildren, Addison, Aubrey, Aria and Jaxon; four siblings, Alice Masters and husband Charles, Phillip Blevins and wife Tammy, David Blevins and Sarah Blevins as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services and burial will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, June 20, 2025 at the Blevins Family Cemetery at Clayton with Pastor William LeGrand officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 11:30 A.M. until time of services on Friday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
