Virginia Nell De la Rosa went to her eternal home Friday, November 21, 2025. She was born in Bowie, Tx. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ben De la Rosa.
She enjoyed singing at church services as well as Karaoke on Monday nights at Evergreen apartments in Keller; where she said she had "spent some of the happiest years living there." She also enjoyed playing the piano and painting, especially roses. Virginia visited the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens many times to enjoy all the flowers but most especially the roses. She loved to stop and get an ice cream cone on the way back home. She was a former educator and a missionary having learned to speak Spanish specifically to "serve her Lord as a missionary." She served in Mexico for several years and also went on multiple mission trips to Guatemala.
Virginia attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University where she met her husband, Ben. Later she received her teaching degree for Spanish from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas.
She will be remembered by her five children, Steven, Paula, Marcelina (Manuel), Daniel (Helen), and Dara. She will also be remembered by her 13 grandchildren, Benjamin, Stephanie, Valerie, Joshua, Sarah, Christine, Natalie, John, Mario, Jeremy, Zachary, Paul, and Chase as well as many great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her "one and only" sister Carolyn (David).
