Virginia Lorene Doling

Virginia Robinson Doling, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the age of 78. Born on August 28, 1946, in Hollywood, Florida, she lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Virginia worked diligently as a fiberglass installer for boats, dedicating her skills to her craft. In her leisure time, she found joy in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that brought warmth and comfort to her loved ones. Her family and friends will fondly remember her love for birthday celebrations and cookouts, where her laughter and warmth filled the air.
A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, Virginia's admiration for the legendary musician brought her much happiness throughout her life. She often recounted the story of how she almost met him in Florida, a treasured memory she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Robinson; mother, Lorene Pilgrim; son, Patrick Doling, Jr.; brother, Samuel Robinson, Jr.; and sister, Joan Robinson. She leaves behind a family who will miss her dearly: her daughter, Terri Doling of Wilmington; brother, Walker Robinson of Hubert; and granddaughter, Danielle Renee of Oklahoma.
