Virginia Faye Dunlap

Virginia Faye Dunlap passed away on October 19, 2025, in Royse City, TX. Born on July 12, 1937, in Red River County, TX, Virginia's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bennie and Fannie (Coleman) Parker.

Virginia was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Sachse, where she found great joy and comfort in her church community. Her love for her family was profound, and she was a beacon of love and kindness to everyone she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Arvil Gene Dunlap, with whom she shared many precious years of marriage. Together, they created a legacy of love that continues to live on. Virginia was also preceded in passing by her siblings, Peggy Brewer, Bennie Jo Aubrey, twin Wilburn Parker, and Opal Sehorne, each of whom shared a special place in her heart.

Virginia's memory will be treasured and kept alive by those she leaves behind, her son Byron Dunlap and his wife Rhonda, as well as her 3 beloved granddaughters and spouses, and several great-grandchildren. Her sister Alice Parker, brother James Parker, and her several nieces and nephews will also remember her fondly and miss her presence greatly.

Throughout her life, Virginia embraced her passions with enthusiasm. She was an excellent cook, baker, and an adept hand at sewing and crocheting, skills that she passed down with love and patience. Her support for the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers was unwavering, and her spirit was a common fixture at many a game day gathering.

Virginia's life was a beautiful illustration of love and kindness. She was the heart of her family, a true friend to many, and a devoted servant of God. Her journey on this earth has ended, but her spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of the lives she touched.
