VIRGINIA "GINNY" ANN TOMASCIK THORNTON, 78 of Round Hill, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Leesburg, Virginia.

Born Friday, January 17, 1947, in Trenton, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Tomascik and the late Columba "Connie" Berti Tomascik.

Ginny graduated from West Side Central Catholic High School in 1965. She continued her education and went to nursing school.

She would go on to work for many years as an OR nurse and later as the office nurse for Dr. Walter Zolkiwsty before retiring in 2000.

In 1969, Virginia married her husband of 44 years, John F. Thornton, before his passing in 2013.

Ginny enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, at the softball fields and outside in the sun. She was a stranger to no one. Ginny was kind and caring to everyone she met.

She leaves behind many to cherish her memory including her daughter, Michelle Daniels (Shawn), Brothers, Bruce Tomascik and Brian Tomascik, and granddaughter, Amanda Daniels.
