Virginia Lenn Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" (Heinzen) Lenn of Plymouth, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, just days after celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary with her loving husband.
The world welcomed Ginny on March 11, 1947. As the only daughter of Ted and Verna Heinzen, Ginny weathered an exhilarating childhood with three older brothers. They're likely the reason she hated to be tickled and they helped her refine her resilience.
After graduating from Columbus Catholic High School in Marshfield, Wisconsin, she pursued a degree at the Duluth School of Practical Nursing. Ginny's nursing career, which would span several decades primarily in the emergency room and later as a respiratory therapist, brought her to Milwaukee in the early 1970s, which is where she met her future husband. Ed Lenn and Ginny were married on October 25, 1975, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield.
Ginny and Ed started their family in Milwaukee before moving to Sheboygan in 1978. Ginny was a devoted wife and mother who always worked hard to be present at school and sporting events for her two children. She enjoyed welcoming family and friends into her home. Through her playful banter, genuine curiosity, and attentive hospitality she welcomed many into her life. She brought joy to holidays and celebrations with her delicious baking and warm hugs. Her warmth and smile will be missed.
Ginny loved to visit her six grandchildren and they adored spending time with her. They appreciated the way she took an interest in them as individuals. Each grandchild was welcomed into the world with one of her knit blankets.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Ed; her children, Mike (Kate) and Susan (Edwin), and her grandchildren, Noah, Haley, Caleb, Stella, Francisco, and Santiago; her brother, James Heinzen, and sister-in-law Mary Heinzen Pearce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Verna Heinzen, her brothers Chuck and Tom, and her beloved aunt, Leona Bell.
The Lenn family would like to thank Ginny's home hospice team, especially Mary Ann and Melissa, and the wonderful and compassionate staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth on Monday, November 10th from 10:30am-12:30pm, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm. Fr. Subi Thomas will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. John the Baptist Catholic School's Angel Fund or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
