Virginia “Ginny” R. Norris age 96, passed away on Saturday December 7, 2024 at the Chapel Hill Community of Canal Fulton. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on September 2, 1928, to the late Joseph Borek and Mary Borek. She has been a resident of the Canton Township community for 52 years. She was a member of the North Industry United Methodist Church. Her passions included spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and traveling with her husband across the country in their motorhome, playing cards and bowling.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert C. Norris on March 26, 2012 whom she was married to for 63 years.
Those left to cherish Ginny’s memories are her four children and their spouses, Alan and Donna Norris of Kent, Ohio; Craig and Nancy Norris of Williamsburg, Virginia; Tina and Gregg Phillips of North Canton, Ohio; Scott and Janice Norris of Wadsworth, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Kris, Katelyn, Heather, Katie, Megan, Connor, Grayson, Jennifer and Michele; 13 great-grandchildren, Sophia, Soren, Aidan, Connor, Hayley, Quinn, Zoey, Ruby, Chloe, Arden, Georgia, Lenox and Banks.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Ginny’s funeral service, officiated by Pastor Suzanah Johnson, will immediately follow at Noon. After the service, interment will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park, where Ginny will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
