EAST FISHKILL – Virginia M. Provencial, 76, an area resident for 24 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on January 15, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born on April 11, 1947 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Aldo and Mary (Ragusa) Sarlo. Virginia had been employed as a secretary with Century 21 Country Bumpkin in Fishkill. She was a member of the East Fishkill Seniors. She enjoyed reading, eating out, planning parties and celebrating the holidays. As the family matriarch, nothing meant more to her than her family.
On March 6, 1967 at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, Virginia married the love of her life, Fred J. Provencial, who survives at home. She is also survived by her sons and their wives, Chris and Michele Provencial, and Fred Eric and Debra Provencial; her grandchildren, Candice Anderson and her husband Ryan, Christopher J. Provencial, Michael Frederick Provencial and Frederick Richard Provencial; her brothers, Michael Sarlo, Richard Sarlo and Paul Sarlo; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brothers, John Sarlo and Robert Sarlo.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am at the funeral home followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
