Virginia Lorraine Rousse, affectionately known by her family as "Virgie", age 95 of Woodhaven, Michigan, formerly of Allen Park, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Donald Rousse. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Mary Martin and her siblings; Dorothy Barker, Irene Olson, Lucille Purcell, Maxine Sharp, Betty Suchan, Lillian Martin, and Mary Ann Law. Cherished sister of Sam Martin. Devoted aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Virginia enjoyed shopping and being the life of the party. She had a fun and witty personality. She lit up many a room with a contagious laugh which you couldn't help but join in on. She loved every dog she ever owned and spoiled them immensely. She was such a giving person. Not having children of her own, Virginia treated her nieces and nephews as her own. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Visitation for Virginia will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home the following day, Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a procession to Our Lady of Hope Cemetery for a graveside committal service.
