Virginia Mann Smith, 91, of Littleville, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2025, surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly.
Virginia was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and they felt that in the love and support she provided. She took great joy that not only her grandchildren called her "Nanny", but all their friends and others who also knew her as "Nanny".
Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church of Littleville for many years and attended until she was unable. She loved her church family and anyone who knew her loved her.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis Smith, who passed away forty-one years ago, and was still the love of her life; parents, Dewey and Flora Mann; brothers, J.R. Mann and Danny Mann; sister, Jackie Cooley; and a host of very close friends that were like family, including Velma Jones and Lillian Blake.
Virginia is survived by her children, Dwight Smith (Donna) and Melissa Daniel (Dusty); grandchildren, Mark Daniel (Angela), Jenna Daniel Puckett (Chris), Samantha Smith Beck (Chad), and Rachel Smith Harvey (Kevin); great-grandchildren, Coby Daniel (Kaelyn), Drew Daniel, Emma Daniel Duran (Jose), Lincoln Daniel Puckett, Chance Beck (Samantha), Logan Beck (Zoe), Dylan Beck (Leighanna), Kayden Harvey, Kaisyn Harvey, Keegan Harvey, Hannah Akers Inman (Archie), Patrick Akers (Amanda), Zane Puckett, and Carter Puckett; great-great-grandchildren, Malachi Beck, Madilynn Kay Beck, Piper Kay Beck, Amelia Claire Duran, Benjamin Duran, Olivia Inman, Adeline Inman, Holden Akers, and Raelynn Akers; brother, Billy Mann, of Double Sprins, AL; sisters, Mavis Cauthen, of Double Springs, AL, and Bettye Lackner, of Midlothian, VA; a host of nieces and nephews; and all who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The funeral will be Friday, October 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Littleville, with Bro. Mark Daniel, Bro. Chad Beck and Dusty Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Hyde Cemetery in Littleville, Alabama.
Pallbearers are Drew Daniel, Chris Puckett, Chance Beck, Logan Beck, Dylan Beck, Kayden Harvey and Jose Duran. Honorary pallbearers are Kaisyn Harvey, Keegan Harvey, and Lincoln Puckett.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama; Dr. Brad McAnalley; and Lauren and Hope for the wonderful care they gave to our mother. A special thanks to Melinda Johnson also.
