Virginia Darlene Peel Staats born March 12,1954 in Roma, Texas and died August 21, 2024 at her home in Stow Ohio where she has lived since 1980. Virginia loved Jesus and all of her friends would describe her as a prayer warrior. She prayed and prayed for her family, friends, and strangers around the world. Her generosity was continuous from gifts to family and friends, as well as money to refugees, the homeless and the poor. She loved to spend time with friends, lavish on her grandchildren, and welcomed any friend from around the world her children brought home whether she could speak their language or not. She was bilingual as the daughter of missionaries and loved using her Spanish whenever she could. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, David Staats, her children Christina and Mark, daughter in law Maria, and grandchildren Mikel, Alister, and Zoe. She is also survived by her sisters Louise, Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Lorraine, and brothers Steven and Walter.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 10-11am with a service at 11:00 at Newcomer Funeral home. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
