Virginia N. Vore, age 88, of Sylvan Lake, Michigan, and formerly of Zolfo Springs and Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at the Mendelson Assisted Living Facility in Waterford Township, Michigan.
Born on September 29, 1936, in Pontiac, Michigan, Virginia was the beloved daughter of the late William E. and Edna A. (née Crivea) Gatton. A proud graduate of Pontiac High School, she was married on August 21, 1954, to the love of her life, Ronald D. Vore, at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Their marriage was a testament to love and devotion that endured until Ronald's passing in 2020.
Virginia dedicated her life to her family as a stay-at-home mother, lovingly raising six children and remaining actively involved in all aspects of their lives. Her warmth, generosity, and compassion touched countless others, and she became affectionately known as the "Angel Lady," offering small angel tokens to nearly everyone she encountered-a simple gesture that left a lasting impression of kindness and faith.
She had a passion for flower arranging, found joy in line dancing, and had an enduring love for music, which filled her days and lifted the hearts of those around her.
Virginia is survived by her six devoted children: Ronald D. Vore II (Linda) of Glasgow, KY; Brett A. Vore of St. Louis, MO; Michael W. Vore (Marcy) of Clarkston, MI; Mary C. Smith (Brian) of Sylvan Lake, MI; Laurie M. Ayers of St. Joseph, MI; and Julie A. Vore-Garcia (Damien) of Leesburg, FL. She also leaves behind 13 cherished grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, each a testament to her loving legacy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald D. Vore, on September 11, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Naples Memorial Gardens in Naples, Florida. A memorial gathering in Michigan will be announced at a later date.
