Virginia Zamarripa, age 77, passed away on August 23, 2025. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Prince Street Baptist Church, 421 N. Prince Street, Clovis, NM with Pastor Tommy Holstadt officiating.

Virginia was born on August 25, 1947, to Christian Valdez and Andrea Ortiz in Clovis, NM. Virginia married Raul Zamarripa on August 8, 1978 in Portales, NM. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, traveling, listening to Tejano music, singing Christian music, shopping, and never missed an episode of her novelas-she lovingly called them her "Mavelas."Virginia was known for her style, she was always the best dressed, loved her high heels, and enjoyed sharing "Fear Factor" drinks with her husband. She had a beautiful voice and loved fellowshipping with her church ladies' Bible study. Virginia connected easily with everyone and brought joy wherever she went. She cherished the time she spent with her "besties" and church ladies. She loved their conversations and laughter, and fellowship, and they held a special place in her heart. Though not all names are listed, they know who they are and how deeply she cared for them.

She is survived by her husband; Raul Zamarripa, of the home, children; Buffy Bendoza of Clovis, NM, Bertha Valdez (Barnwell) of San Antonio, TX, Raymond Valdez of Clovis, NM, Andrea Valdez of Long Beach, CA, grandchildren; Jasmine Garcia, Crystal Garcia, Cheyenne Rodriguez, Marisol Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Brenda Prentiss, Victoria Chapa, Christian Thomas, Jonathan Valdez, Kaitlynn Valdez, Haleigh Valdez, Emily Valdez, Raymond Jr. Valdez, Damian Valdez, Bailey Ray Valdez, Pete Valdez, Jaquelin E., Natalia A. Villegas, Alondra Garcia, great grandchildren; Jacob Rodriguez, Donovan Rodriguez, Jayden Valdez, Jerika Valdez, Aubrey Valdez, Ariana Valdez, Averie Valdez, Maleah Thomas, Mila Thomas, Kataleya Chapa, Kenia Rodriguez, Sadie Rodriguez, Aiden Acuna, Mia Rodriugez, Khloe Garcia, Annalea Garcia. Siblings; Christina Jimenez, Juvencio Valdez, Mary Banister, Dorthy Villanueva, Grace Alonzo, and Manuel Valdez.

She is preceded in death by her son; Larry Valdez, grandson; Caesar Rodriguez, siblings; Jessie Valdez, Robert (Bobby)Valdez, Ann Morris, Betty Padilla, Helen Valdez, and Kathy Valdez.
