Virgis Landry Acosta, 74, of Pierre Part, LA passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Virgis was born on March 24, 1950, in Belle River, and enjoyed a fulfilling life with her family. Virgis found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as going to the camp, hunting, fishing, and running the roads. She also found joy in playing dice, bringing laughter and entertainment to all those around her.

 She leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Jeffrey Acosta, daughter Melissa Rivere and husband Russell Jr., brothers Wilson Landry and Gilbert Landry, as well as her cherished grandchildren Toby Acosta and wife Chelsie, Jonathan Acosta and wife Veda, Cody Rivere, and Austin Rivere and her 5 great grandchildren, Mckinley, Kolby, Hunter, Quin and Reid.

 Virgis was preceded in death by her parents Cerelia Cavalier and Gibson Landry; one son, Kenneth Acosta; three brothers, Norris Landry, Nelson Landry, Wibert “Shebe” Landry and four sisters, Shirley Aucoin, Lula Belle Landry, Annabelle Blanchard, Geneva Edwards.

 May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

 A visitation to honor Virgis' life will take place on November 24, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home starting at 5:00 pm to 8:00pm. Visitation will resume November 25, 2024, at 8:00 am to 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 am.
