Virjean F. Soder

Virjean F. Soder, 96, of Three Lakes died Sunday, December 28, 2025. Virjean was born June 10, 1929 to Wallace and Beatrix (Buell) Halverson in Racine WI. She moved with her family to Three Lakes in 1946 where she met and married the love of her life, Gerhard "Speed" Soder, They were married for 52 years until Speed's passing in 2000.
Virjean is survived by her two sons, Scott (Linda) Soder and Kip (Pattie) Soder, four grandchildren, Andrea (Nate) Peterson, Elli (Kyle Brockway) Soder, Bradley (Clarissa) Soder and Jessica (Scott Herchmer) Soder, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.. She is preceed in death by her parents, and her beloved sister, Sharon Sanborn, and special friend George Welnetz.
Virjean's first love was her family. She was happiest when all were gathered together at "The Lakelot". She enjoyed camping, fishing, sitting by the campfire, feeding her birds and chippys, watching the Brewers on TV, reading, puzzles, and solving crosswords.
She was the secretary at the Three Lakes School District for three years, until she went to work in the family business as an insurance agent. She was an insurance agent for over forty years until retirement. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Union Congregational Church.
Per Virjean's wishes there will not be a memorial service. Memorials in Virjean Soder's name can be donated to The Shriner's Children's Hospital, Eagle River Masonic Lodge, and the Three Lakes Union Congregational Church.
She will be missed by many.
