In her final months, Samantha had the honor of serving as one of Vita's caregivers, always saying "Grandma it is my privilege to take care of someone who once took care of me." Katie and Caroline were Vita's faithful companions visiting her daily after school.
Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Florence, CO, which is the same church where Vita and Bennie were married and all their children were baptized. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City, CO.

To All of Mrs. DiRito's family, I was so sorry to learn of her passing. I met her as well as the entire group when Adam B. & Dave played baseball together. I then interacted with her while delivering Meals on Wheels. She was a bright star every time I saw her. My grandchildren helped with meals a couple of times so they met her too & thought she was a special lady! I wish all of you peace & comfort in this time of loss.
